“The installation” Rotor “brings together prehistoric practices and contemporary technologies. Inspired by the instrument making of prehistoric rhombs and based on a setting in sound of the winds of the world, this helical-shaped rhomb / rotor is activated by a rotating motor depending on the intensity of different winds blowing around the planet.
This transcription of meteorological data into sound energy forms a fictitious acoustic landscape: a crossroads of the four winds… ”
